Uniform Policy

In our appearance we show our opinions about ourselves, show respect for what we are doing and respect those with whom we spend our time.

 

All students are required to be in their proper uniform during school hours. We may have extra uniforms in the main office for students to borrow for the day. A student who is repeatedly out of uniform will be disciplined. Shirts should be tucked in at all times, and students should strive for a neat and respectable appearance.

 

All clothing must be appropriately sized and not tight or baggy. Cargo shorts, cargo pants and capri pants are not allowed. No undergarments should be visible. Shorts worn under girls skirts or jumpers may not show when a student is standing unless ankle length.

Daily Uniform Options (Visual Guide Link)

Girls

  • Navy blue or khaki colored Chino pants or shorts (mid thigh or longer with no logo)
    • Solid black or brown belt (must be worn with pants)
  • Solid navy blue or khaki colored skirt, mid thigh or longer
  • Navy modesty shorts to be worn under skirts and jumpers, should not show when standing
  • Navy blue v-neck, crew or button down sweater (no hoods)
  • Optional - solid white or navy tights (no embellishments)
  • Solid colored navy blue or white polo shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve)
  • Optional - white Oxford button down shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve)
  • Optional - solid navy blue blazer

Boys  

  • Solid colored navy blue or khaki pants or shorts (must fit properly, required to wear with a brown or black belt)
  • Navy blue v-neck or crew sweater (no hoods)
  • Solid colored navy blue or white polo shirt (long or short sleeve)
  • Optional - White Oxford button down shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve)
  • Optional - Navy blue or black tie from Walmart (French Toast) or Lands' End 
  • Single piercing 
  • Well groomed at all times, including facial hair
  • Optional - Navy blue v-neck or crew sweater (no hoods)
  • Optional - solid navy blue blazer

Formal Wednesday Uniform (Visual Guide Link)

Students are required to have formal Wednesday attire and are welcome to wear their formal Wednesday uniforms throughout the week if they so choose.  

Girls

  • White Oxford button down shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve)
  • Lands’ End plaid skirt in blue, no shorter than mid thigh
  • Navy modesty shorts to be worn under skirts and should not show when standing
  • Optional - Solid colored navy blue or khaki pants (must fit properly, required to wear with a brown or black belt)
  • Hair accessories must be white, gold, navy, or gray, or a combination of these colors.
  • Single piercing 
  • Optional - solid navy blue blazer

Boys  

  • White Oxford button down shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve)
  • Navy blue or black solid colored tie from Walmart (French Toast version) or Lands’ End
  • Only solid white t-shirts (no writing) may be worn under uniform shirt
  • Solid colored navy blue or khaki pants or shorts (must fit properly, required to wear with a brown or black belt)
  • Optional - Navy blue v-neck or crew sweater (no hoods)
  • Optional - solid navy blue blazer
  • Single piercing

PE Attire

  • All middle school students will dress out for PE 
    • Navy blue shorts and either white or red t-shirts. Shorts must be mid thigh or longer.
    • Navy blue or white leggings may be worn under shorts.

Backpacks, Lunch Boxes, Water Bottles, and Bags

Students are welcome to bring a backpack, lunchbox, water bottle, or bag. They need to be free of any inappropriate or distracting pictures or messages. While all students are allowed and encouraged to bring a backpack to school, Middle School students (6-8) backpacks will need to be kept within lockers, and are not permitted within classrooms.

We encourage students to bring water bottles, including insulated water bottles to school so that they can stay hydrated and cool during the day. Students may not bring anything other than water in their water bottles. No juice, soda or milk.

General Guidelines

  • Hair highlights and coloring are only allowed if they are natural colors.
  • Abnormal or excessive hairstyles are not allowed (Eg. tails, mohawks, haircut designs)
  • Well groomed at all times, including facial hair for boys

Required Footwear:

  • Loafers or solid color athletic shoes
  • White or navy blue bobby, knee, or ankle socks (must be visible)

 

Optional item that can be worn in the classroom:

  • Navy blue cardigan, crew or v-neck sweaters (without hoods)
  • Navy blue quarter-zip pullover (without hoods)

 

Other outerwear item to only be worn outside of the building:

  • Lightweight fleece pullover (any solid color)
  • Fleece lined rain jacket (any solid color)
